Flippa Ball Holiday Camp was epic!

27 Jun

The Flippa Ball holiday camp at Kiwa Pools this school holidays was a massive success!

With 31 tamariki aged 7–12 jumping in—many for the first time—it was a week of fun, learning, and growth for Tairāwhiti Water Polo.

Led by coach András Sári and pro player Eve Weston, the camp mixed water safety with fast-paced water polo skills. “Their potential is limitless,” said András. “They could go anywhere with this.”

We were proud to see local talent shine with support from Diego and Sammy Castaño. Eve also praised Gisborne’s natural advantage: “Access to pools and open water makes this region ideal.”

This camp is part of our vision to grow water polo in Tairāwhiti—from Flippa Ball to school comps to club and national teams.

? Sunday sessions continue July 27–Sept 7 at 2 pm.

Let’s build something special—together
